A Little Bit About Me

Hi there, and welcome to my little slice of internet. I'm a graphic designer currently living in a small 2 bedroom apartment in Melbourne. This space is a refuge from my day to day life. A place for things that excite me, people who inspire me and places with amazing interiors.

Thanks for visiting!

Do candle addicts support groups exist? No seriously, I think I need to join one. My collection seems to expand without my knowledge, which is hardly my fault... right? Anyway, it's hardly a crime to own a healthy batch of candles, especially when that batch contains the Mr. SOH range, from Melbourne brand, Scent of Home.

I'm actually incredibly thankful for the Mr. range. These are candles even my boyfriend can get behind (and that's saying something), which I believe is due to their rich masculine scents and striking presence. This means I can put them anywhere around the place without the chance of a raised eyebrow or a "we already have 3 candles on that shelf" remark. Hurray!

Scent of Home have always impressed me with packaging and containers, and Mr. SOH certainly lives up to expectations. Each candle comes in a handsome, black glass container which tapers in at the top, almost like a red wine glass. They look great and easily add stylish touch to anywhere they land.

Now, on to the important part, the scent. The Mr. SOH comes in three stunning fragrances: Mr. Moss, Mr. Violette and Mr. Rosado. My absolute favourite is Mr. Moss. As you might remember in my previous candle review post for Nocturna, I have a thing for fragrances representative of the natural environment and can transport you away from the everyday. Mr. Moss achieves this with its amazing and sophisticated combination of smoke, wood, vetiver, and lemon. Delish! Mr. Violette, featuring ambrette seeds, apple and pear, is fresh and invigorating whilst Mr. Rosado, with rose, blackcurrant, jasmine and fig is much more floral and relaxing.

All up, I'm very much in love with the Mr. SOH range. Before I go, I want to leave you with this very cool, very suave promo video for the Mr. SOH which I think really encapsulates the feel of these very special candles.
